Broken Smile

Authors Note : This poem is on Slam for Suicide Awareness at

This poem was written to tell the story of someone who is dealing with somebody who wants to commit suicide.
So many times, suicidal people say no one cares and that no one notices so I wrote a poem about some one who noticed.

If you’re someone who is thinking about committing suicide, there is a phone number on the cover picture of this poem that I would like you to call so they can help.

Lately Your Eyes

Haven’t Had the Same Glimmer.

Lately Your Smile

Hasn’t Been as Bright.

Something About You

Tells Me Your Broken

And I Don’t Know How to Help.

Something Tells Me

That You Need Me.

But I Know

You Wont Come

To Me.

So Please

If That’s What You Need

Please Come Here

And Tell Me What’s Wrong

Before I Lose You.

Your Broken Smile

Your Heavy Heart

Your Sad Eyes.

All I Want Is To See

That Beautiful Smile You Have

And To See Those Eyes Shine

Because Lately I Haven’t

And Lately

I Know.

Your Broken Smile

Needs to Talk

Your Broken Smile

Has Lead Me To Worry.

So Please Don’t Do

What It Is You’re Thinking of Doing

and Come Talk to Me.

Because I Can’t Bear to Lose You.
