When you feel more lost

When your heart is broken.

You look around

And you don’t recognize a thing.

The place you called home

The people you called friends,

They all seem unrecognizable

And you don’t seem to know anyone.

They call your name and you don’t turn around,

Their voice coming as though a stranger is calling

And you can’t get rid of this feeling.

You know you’re supposed to,

You know your reaction is wrong

And you know you’re doing wrong

But none of it seems right.

You wonder what happened,

You wondered if you made a wrong turn.

You wonder and you think

Yet the longer it continues,

The more you don’t recognize anyone.
