#BlackFriday Shopping Haul!

I actually don’t remember the sales for about half of it and I will not be including the final cost for anything that I bought because I always go a little crazy when I’m shopping and I just don’t feel like admitting that I went absolutely insane.

For those of you who will likely share their concern that I went Black Friday shopping, I went with my mother and her fiance and we actually went to some pretty calm places. Mind you, there are plenty of other shops that we went to and didn’t ultimately end up buying anything (i.e. Michaels and Rue 21).

Hot Topic

Hot Topic always has some decent sales on Black Friday and this one was no exception. All of their t-shirts (except for Fashion Tees) were $10 and with Crimes of Grindelwald having just recently come out, of course I HAD to buy a Niffler t-shirt, do you know me at all?

This shirt actually was on sale for $12 dollars due to it being a fashion tee, but I didn’t realize that this was considered to be a fashion tee at the time so when I was at check- out, I was lucky enough for them to let me buy this shirt for $10 dollars.

Hot Topic also had a generalized sale of buy one, get one half off. But the thing that I got for half off was actually a Christmas present for my lovely, lovely roommate so I will not be advertising that gift on here (as Christmas has not come around yet).

But this is a holiday advent jewelry set, where it’s supposed to come with a bracelet and 12 charms in each one of these advents, where you open one a day every day before Christmas. Do you remember the chocolate versions? It’s the same concept!

Bath and Body Works

For this sale, it was buy 3, get 3 free and I always go a little… crazy when I’m at Bath and Body Works and as you all know very well, I am a STRONG believer in Aromatherapy so I bought a lot of their collection of that.

Arometherapy’s Comfort, featuring scents like vanilla and patchoulli, shower steamers. The goal of this is to put it in your showers, right outside the steam/ water and let it melt slowly and it’s supposed to bring comfort. I fully believe in Aromatherapy, but I am a little nervous about shower steamers and was curious to see how it would work.

Aromatherapy’s Sleep, with the new scent of Black Chamomile, pillow mist. I thought that a pillow mist was fitting for an aromatherapy meant for sleep which is why I bought it and admittedly, I’m really excited about the fact that they have a new option for their sleep aromatherapy as I hate the smell of lavender and it made me less likely to use it as I wanted to desperately avoid the scent.

With my newfound single life, as my past relationship has officially dissolved, I decided to play around with Arometherapy’s Love, featuring scents of Rose and Vanilla, Body Scrub to see what would happen in the love department of my life.

Aromatherapy’s Stress Relief, featuring scents of Eucalyptus and Spearmint, Concentrated Room Spray. I haven’t been talking too much about my dorm life but recently, it has come to my attention that some of my residential hall neighbors have complained about the scent coming from my dorm, AKA Apple’s fault. Because of this, Madison helped me buy one of those room sprays that spray every 5 minutes and I bought a carpet de-odorizer but in case those things don’t work, I also bought this and I thought both my roommate and I could really use this to our advantage.

Aromatherapy’s Focus, featuring scents of Eucalyptus and Tea, nourishing Body Oil. I really feel that every college student needs this. It helps them focus on the task at hand, such as homework instead of getting distracted by their own mind.

Aromatherapy’s Happiness, including scents like Bergamot and Mandarin, Body Wash and Foam Bath. Happiness has probably been my internal struggle for the longest time and this honestly does make me feel a little better.

This one doesn’t have a picture to come along with it but I decided to look around at the vegan snack boxes since I had a little extra money and came across UrthBox. I only bought one of their vegan snack boxes, their large one with 25+ snacks but for Black Friday, if you bought anything on the store then you got an extra box so I will be having two snack boxes coming in soon enough and I was actually planning on showing you guys what is inside the boxes! While I wouldn’t typically reveal how much I bought, I’m actually really proud of this deal as I bought two large snack boxes for $39.99. The box typically costs 49.99 but I also got another $10 off using HONEY!

I had actually heard of vegan cuts before, as I had found a lot of videos on box openings and really, desperately wanted to try a box. I would have gone with Vegan Cuts for my snack box but the UrthBox was ultimately cheaper for more snacks today but I still got to buy their Vegan Chocolate Treasure Chest for $32 dollars and free shipping, compared to original cost of $76.15, not including shipping. I will also be doing a video regarding on the contents of this box as well!

JC Penney’s

This is a lavender, white, and grey sweatshirt with some sort of down arrow design to the top of the sweatshirt. It was actually one of the first things I saw at JC Penney’s and I just had to have it. I can’t recall what it was on sale for, as you’ll notice within time but I’ve always loved some of JC Penney’s clothing even though it’s typically on the girlier side.

It probably doesn’t surprise anybody that you can find me in the boy’s section of many stores and JC Penney’s is no exception. As you can see on the tag, this shirt is typically $20 but on Black Friday, it was a mere $5 dollars. FOR A HARRY POTTER SHIRT NO LESS.

My Harry Potter Questions

As many of you know, I am a huge Harry Potter fan (especially considering Apple’s name!) and on my account Hogwarts Extreme, I had to create a profile so here you go and I would love to hear your responses.

House? Slytherin.

Ilvermony House? Horned Serpent.

Magical Creature? Demiguise.

Pets? I would totally have a Kneazle, an Owl, or a Cat. But I actually have a ferret.

Wizarding Job?

Probably a Magizoologist thanks to Newt Scamander whom I would personally love to marry myself, dang Tina for ruining my relationship dreams.

Best Classes?

I really enjoy learning about Care of Magical Creatures as well as Charms and Transfiguration. I think I would also enjoy History of Magic but not if I was stuck with Professor Binns as a professor.

Worst Classes?

Most definitely Potions, I think my nerves would be terrible in that class as I know my nerves are dreadful in Chemistry and the teacher in that class was actually incredibly kind so that would definitely be my answer. I also think I would do pretty dreadful in Arithmancy though I probably would never take the class to find out.

Patronus? On account of my Pottermore, I know my answer to be a Rat.

Order or Death Eater?

Unsurprisingly account on the stereotype of my house, I would like to say I would be a Death Eater though I completely understand the fight of the Order of Phoenix, on account of Voldemort being a bit insane and over zealous in his mission not to mention the complete distaste for muggleborns, I find myself understanding the side of the Death Eaters more. In their eyes, they were forced into hiding around the same time as the Salem Witch Trials and probably had horror stories as the generations passed down so I can only imagine the fear of Muggles finding out once more though I don’t think those with magic should be treated differently like Muggleborns or Halfbloods, I just think Muggles shouldn’t be trusted.

Favorite HP Book?

My favorite would have to be Order of Phoenix because it delves deeper into the backstory of Tom Riddle which I found to be incredibly fascinating as we got to know Voldemorts character a bit better and in general, I think it was the most gut wrenching due to the beloved Sirius Black passing away.

Favorite HP Movie?

My favorite would have to be Prisoner of Azkaban as I am a huge Marauder fan in the movie, my fangirling was at an all time high though the book had the same affect.

Least Favorite HP Book?

My least favorite book would have to be Chamber of Secrets simply because of the child like atmosphere for the book. The entire thing basically delves deeper into the concept of racism and while I understand it was a series for children, this book especially made me wish for it to be a series for adults as I feel like this topic could have been explored better otherwise.

Least Favorite HP Movie?

My least favorite movie would definitely have to be Deathly Hallows as the entire thing was like a huge let down, I was continuously let down due to the lack of spells being used in the final battle. For a kid who managed to beat Voldemort countless times, you would think he actually had dueling skills but in this movie, it is like they completely ignore logic as both him and the rest of the Death Eaters are basically only using disarming spells while in the actual books, Harry Potter was pretty awesome and even used all three of the Illegal Curses which I give him mad props for.

Favorite Professor?

My favorite professor would definitely be Minerva McGonagall as she was continuously the only professor who never treated Harry Potter differently. She treated him as a human being who made mistakes but was still a good kid, effectively taking away points when appropriate and giving them once more when appropriate. She was the most influential teacher in my opinion and the best from who we actually got to see. Filius Flitwick was a bit of pushover, Severus Snape was too stuck in his past, and Dumbledore had clear biased against anybody who wasn’t Harry (Gryffindor should not have won the House Cup in first year, points for a good game of chess, seriously?)

Favorite Character?

My favorite character would have to be either Luna Lovegood or Draco Malfoy. I enjoyed Luna as I thought her to be a great addition to the series as she was rather wonky and peculiar but she was fascinating and I personally would love to read more of her story, particularly an in depth analysis of her mental well being and an explanation on the stories and I still secretly hope she was not imagining those creatures but a lot of me suspects that a lot of it was probably her compensating with the loss of her mother and being bullied (If you like Cho Chang, leave right now!) As for Draco Malfoy, I think had we seen a less biased view of him, a lot of people would have liked him more. He whole heartedly believed in what his family had taught him, something every body should understand and unfortunately didn’t fully understand why everything he said was so crude and disgusting. Despite all of the misunderstanding, I think he was a human being that never really got to see kindness from the other side, not saying he deserved it, but didn’t necessarily want to be a Death Eater like his father and struggled greatly with this.

Favorite Marauder Era Character?

As I believe it should be pretty obvious, I am a huge fan of the Marauder Era and I personally believe had we seen more of Regulus Black, I probably would have fallen hopelessly in love with him which is actually something that I think would be fascinating to write and he is one of those characters that I will fight with you about if you insult him. Don’t you dare. Beyond him, I really liked Xenophilius Lovegood, whom is Luna Lovegood’s father and while I continuously write the actual Marauders as good people, I generally dislike most of them for being bullies. There are countless examples of them being a bully, not just Severus and because of this, I am still upset with Lily Evans though I understand her point, at least a little bit.

Snow and Five Things You Can Do in Order to Avoid it!

So as many of you may know, I live in the state of North Carolina and recently is snowed about 9-11 inches in a period of two days which is a lot, especially for our first snow of the year.

We are one of those states that while it does snow, it doesn’t snow excessively so schools tend to freak out. I know that the people up north make fun of us because we tend to freak out and close down, but honestly it makes a lot of sense for us.

Due to the fact that it doesn’t snow nearly enough, our school buses and our schools in general are not to the requirements of making it through the snow and managing life. It’s a safety hazard not to close down unless bus transportation can rationally get everywhere safely, otherwise it would be a case of students being unsafe.

So before you make fun of us and freak out, please think rationally before you do so, we don’t have basically a year round snow, we have OCCASIONAL snow. Meaning most of our cars and buses are not equipped to deal with such weather conditions. Personally, I think it is one of our state’s major design issues.

Anyways so with 9-10 inches of snow, unsurprisingly school was cancelled and not only that but because of my mom and step dad getting separated, my mom was really worried about driving in the snow so I spent all of my weekend at one of her coworker’s house.

I actually loved it there! Since the move, I haven’t had a lot of chances to be with dogs since we moved into an apartment without one which is the first time since I was about three years old. I have a bunch of fish (8, not including my 2 snails) but it’s just not the same.

But since I hate snow (I love the weather, don’t question that but I think snow is rather pointless) , I was trying to think of stuff to do and here is my list of indoor activities to do during bad weather conditions (while I pretend that I ever go outside anyways)!

One : Here’s the obvious. Watch movies!

The house I was at had absolutely no internet so I was going through all of her movies to find some stuff and here is the list of movies I watched!

  • Jurassic Park : The Remake.
  • Catch Me if You Can (with Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks!)
  • Titanic (with Leonardo Dicaprio!)
  • The Green Mile (with Tom Hanks!)

There was a mild Tom Hanks and Leonardo Dicaprio connection as I kept watching movies and while I am POSITIVE there are more, I can not for the life of me remember what the rest were.

Two : If you’re a writer, especially. WRITE!

Weirdly enough, I mostly just read Ouran High School Host Club fanfiction rather than writing but still, this is an option that I definitely should have taken advantage of. Oops? Oh well, I still have the rest of this snow break!

As a writer, any excuse given is a good excuse to write.

Three : If you’re a student. DO HOMEWORK!

Class only barely started, in fact. I still haven’t had my last college class on my list because I haven’t had college on a Thursday or a Friday yet.

But unfortunately, I did have homework. So, of course, I did it! Relatively easy and on a completely random note, I think I am going to really like my Art Appreciation professor!

But honestly, as we get further into the semester. Snow days become a blessing because you have all this free time to work on things, especially if you’re running behind on work. This is a great chance to catch up!

Four : This is great for everyone. READ!

If you’re one of those poor suckers who hate reading, I feel so bad for you because you are missing out on a lot of stuff! But honestly, if you “hate” reading, you just have not found the right book or genre and this could be a great chance to read a book inside your home (I had William Shakespeare : The Complete Plays) or go onto your phone and computer to search up good books to read.

Wattpad (not being sponsored in any way) is a great website if you want free, original stories or even fan fiction! You just have to do some searching. I obsessively read an Ouran fan fiction this entire weekend that I absolutely adored. If you want to add me on Wattpad : Sharkylovesyou.

Five : This is great for any age. DO SOME COLORING!

Apparently these adult coloring books have gotten really popular and honestly, I have a Harry Potter coloring book that I absolutely adore coloring in and this is a great thing you can do if you get bored.

It’s a way to think creatively and have some fun! I have the Harry Potter coloring book : Places and Characters and I finished up the Quidditch picture on New Years (picture below) but I started working on another picture over the break.

I suck at coloring but I had a lot of fun!

But anyways, regardless of what you do. HAVE FUN! These are just some of my ideas if you’re stuck and by no means does it mean that you have to. I hope you guys have an amazing day and PLEASE STAY WARM!

If you’re in a place like Florida, I envy you.

17 Things I Love

Hey guys! So I wrote this a little bit in advance but today is December 7th, 2016 meaning that I have been alive for 17 years! So in honor of this, I wanted to tell about 17 things that I love. These things rang from television shows, book series, hobbies, foods, and absolutely whatever else that I can think of.

This list is in no particular order.

  1.  Writing!

I have been obsessed with writing for as long as I can remember! With my dyslexia, you would think it started after but that is actually not the case. I have always really liked the idea of storytelling and when I was struggling through dyslexia and all of that, I have a vivid memory of writing this story about two girls from very different worlds finding out they are sisters. Like a celebrity and a normal person, a princess and a commoner. I have no idea what I was wanting to do with the story but I had written out they met more than 30 times and I was constantly drawing pictures for this story (even though I sucked at drawing!)

However truly writing didn’t come to me until much later and my love for writing and my interest in the pursuit of writing was a long process. However, I began writing poetry in the fourth grade (so like 2009-2010) when we had this class in the library about what poetry was and what haiku’s were and so much more and I just fell in love.

I dedicate my love for poetry to Mrs. Wilson who worked in the library at my middle school.

During the summer of going into 6th grade, I was taken into the world of fan fiction (which will be delved into deeper in another spot!) and I began to read it obsessively on this website that was called Quizazz but later changed to Quotev.

On this website, I wrote two stories that were original. My story about Dyslexia (published on February 3rd, 2014) and another story about a train that is no longer published. During this time, beyond these stories, I also obsessively wrote my own fanfiction that would later be published on Wattpad (via thinking that Quotev was officially too childish and I had ran out of fan fiction!)

Many, many, many attempted stories later would result in the Social Butterfly which is still my pride and joy for the fan fiction part of my life however I ultimately gave it up when I began pursuing The White Butterfly which I began writing in 2015 and on Christmas Eve of that same year,  I finished it.

Before The Social Butterfly, however, I knew that I wanted to be a writer and my biggest problem was honestly just getting my story out there and being motivated enough to write it.

In the seventh grade ( so like 2012-2013), I met two people. A girl that I called Rainbow and who would become my favorite teacher of all time, Mrs. Thompson.

These two encouraged me in ways that I never believed and to this day, I thank them for thinking of writing as a profession rather than just an interest. They also convinced me to submit my first poem into a poetry contest at my local library’s poetry contest (that I lost but I still loved the experience and continued!)

2. Harry Potter

Literally if you ask anybody that I know personally, they will tell you that I have an obsession with this series. Which is one hundred percent true because while I hate the character with a passion, I love the world and other characters. I love that there is so much to debate about the series and it isn’t even the magical portion of this series that I love, what I love is that she put so much thought into this series that I could write history books about these various topics that have nothing to do with stupid Harry James Potter.

I had always kinda loved Harry Potter, as a child my brother was never home a lot and he was really important to me as a kid and I began to love the series because I associated him with the series.

However, it was not until I got hurt (I don’t remember how) and I had a lightning bolt cut on my forehead, similar to the character itself which caused me to research the series more which introduced me to Harry Potter fan fiction.

Of course, my interest in the series has changed a lot varying from Harry himself to Draco Malfoy (marry me?) to the teachers to the Marauder Era, light versus dark, the parallels to the real world and the series, and so much more.

3. Coffee

Okay so ever since I was little, coffee was like heaven from above. My mom would only let me have one cup of coffee every couple of months in these super tiny tea cup with teddy bears on them.

As I grew older and my mom stopped caring how much coffee I have had, the magical powers that I associated with a kid continued.

4. Gilmore Girls.

This is a show that I have watched like 6 times, I even stayed until 3 a’clock in the morning (stupid Eastern time) in the attempt to watch A Year in the Life which I did manage to do (finishing at almost 11 a’clock!)

But beyond my obsessive habits with this show, I have become entranced with the mother- daughter relationships between Lorelai and Emily as well as Lorelai and Rory.

I have had my opinions of Paris Geller and I have rooted for Sookie and Jackson, I have screamed at Luke Danes for being an ass, and I have even created an all out shipping war. Team Logan, by the way though I am partial to Jess. Not Dean though, Dean sucks.

5. My Aunt’s Chocolate Chip Cookies.

No matter how many times I have attempted to recreate these little pieces of love that are my Aunt’s chocolate chip cookies, I have failed epically. I am convinced that my Aunt has some sort of magical amazing powers that ensures that I must get down on my knees to beg for another one of the amazing cookies.

6. Corn Beef and Cabbage.

This has been a food that my mom has made on rare occasions from the day I was born. Unfortunately, the meal is not exactly cheap and more so, half my family hated the food until the divorce.

Regardless, this is an amazing food that I would kill somebody for (Not really..)

7. Disney / Pixar Movies.

These movies have always reminded me of childhood, of a time where I dreamed of a one true love and of a marriage so sweet and so pure. I dreamed of the life of Ariel as a child, I grew up to admire Belle for her individuality and love for books, and gradually became invested in the mechanics of the series.

The Pixar Theory by Jon Negroni that introduced me to my favorite YouTuber, SuperCarlinBrothers, where we analyzed the movies way too much to find connections and I have fallen in love with the movies all over again.

8. Wifi.

Oh wow, a teenager who loves wifi, how original.

Yes, I am seventeen years old and I love wifi so sue me! I love being able to talk to my friends at the drop of a hat, I love having access to the world at the tip of my fingers. I am oh so sorry that I am enjoying the world that is around me.

This is not something to judge teenagers for enjoying as I am ensure that when you were a teenager, you loved something that the adults hated. It’s how the world works, something new comes out that we love and those who lived in a world before it tend to hate it.

So yes, I love wifi.

9. Animals.

As a child, I grew up with this dog. I got her when I was three years old and I named her Fluffy though my mom claims that she told me that, at least apparently I said that but unless we live in the world, Life of Pets, I highly doubt that.

As a child, she was my favorite person in the world. She walked with me when we walked around the neighborhood, she stayed the night with me when I was scared of the dark, she listened to me rant about friend drama, and she even protected me when she didn’t like somebody.

She was my best friend and because of her, I had a love for animals that never really stopped. Unfortunately, she passed away over the summer.

As time went on, I found a love for sharks where I earned the nickname Sharky because I knew a lot of weird facts about them (which never really went away with some of my middle school friends) and it continued on even further to Llamas and Cows and Goats, Cats, and Fish.

Currently I have 8 fish : Zaniello, Casiopa, Lyra, Ursa, Oblegine, Denubla, Nunki, Altair.

2 Snails : Leafy and Sheldon.

I love them all deeply. ❤

10. Friends.

Friends have always been an important factor in my life and it is my friends who I believe have slowly molded me into who I am today. They supported me in my choices, relationships, and so much more that they all became so very important to me.

I even dedicated my last book, The White Butterfly, to my best friend but we are currently struggling but that doesn’t mean how much she meant to me has changed and I will forever appreciate her for that books existence because I wouldn’t have finished it without her.

11. Family.

Family has always been a weird topic for me because my family is weird but for this one, my family includes the people that have stuck with me through thick and thin because I don’t believe blood is what creates family and I definitely don’t think they are family just because they are blood.

Family, in my opinion, is someone who supports you in what you do and loves you for who you are regardless of your choices and opinions and life. That family, that is the family I love and I am so lucky that I have them in my life.

12. Blankets.

As much as I love the cold, blankets are amazing. The reason behind liking the cold is because you can always get warm by putting on thicker clothes and blankets but with being hot, your only option is getting naked and that isn’t exactly sociably acceptable and plus, it probably wouldn’t work anyways.

But anyways, back to blankets, they ensure warmth and security. They are soft and they are amazing and I just really love blankets.

13. The Smell of Cherries.

There is this hand soap and hand sanitizer at Bath and Body Works with the smell of Black Cherry Merlot which honestly just smells like cherries and it is amazing.

This has been a recent interest but literally anything cherry like has been absolutely amazing for me.

14. Music.

As a teenager, I have used music as getting people to not talk to me, I have jammed out to Insane Clown Posse, Theory of a Deadman, Blink-182, and even Smashing Pumpkins. I have hummed the music of Queen, Iron and Wine, and the Beatles. I have sang at the top of my lungs to Bob Marley, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, and Elvis Presley.

I have listened to music during sadness and anger as well as love and happiness.

15. Books.

I have over 300 books.

Clearly, I have a thing for books. They make me feel like it is a getaway from everything going on and it is amazing. I love living from another person’s life.

16. Peppermint.

When I was in the seventh grade, I was absolutely and one hundred percent obsessed with peppermint, I had like 60 peppermints that year and everyone got them for me on my birthday and on Christmas.

Of course, I eventually got weaned off the peppermint, apparently 60 of them does that to you. But I have always remembered that year, that so many people remembered and noticed how much I love peppermint and they got it for me.

Peppermint means more than just the food or the amazing smell, it reminds me of caring and acknowledgment of me, myself, and I. That so many people noticed and cared.

17. Supporters / Fans

You guys, you guys are something that I absolutely love.

You guys have supported me, you have appreciated my work and I love you guys for it, thank you so much.

My Review of Hogwarts Extreme

As a lover for Harry Potter, when I came across this role playing Harry Potter website, I was ecstatic and I would now like to give my review of the entire thing.

Upon logging in, I received an owl that informed that I must wait 24 hours for verification to pass before I could be sorted and in the meantime, I looked around the website and I found various different interesting things.

Daily Money – Every single hour, the amount of galleons change ranging anywhere from 5 galleons to 500 (though there is probably more, those are just what I witnessed.) This is a big gamble because you never know what the amount is going to be next time you check so often times, you settle and then regret it.

The Well – If you put 5 galleons into the well, you can win a random amount of money that is actually rather interesting though is just as risky as Daily Money except for this one where you actually pay galleons in order to receive galleons.

The Games

The first 5 games can earn you so many galleons though the wizarding math was rather confusing as you had to pay with chocolate frogs (and I completely lacked ever finding out where to find them!)

My favorite game was Counting the Wizarding Money where you literally just counted the Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts and it gave you so much money based off how quick you were in counting.

Once the Verification was up

Once it was up, it finally allowed me to get sorted where they asked you various questions (fill in the blank, check the boxes, and other various forms of questions) and then said to wait a few more hours to officially be sorted.

From what I understood of the website, the longevity of your wait completely is random and just depends on the circumstances. I have no idea how long mine personally took as I went to bed and then woke up to find out I had been sorted and my blood status had been decided.

Muggleborn Slytherin.

I’m a little disappointed that I am a Muggleborn but I have always considered myself to be a Slytherin!

Anyways, after this was decided I was finally able to register for classes where they gave me a long list of classes to choose from. After that, they told me the supplies I must get in order to begin taking the class.

After getting the supplies, since I had started after September 1st, I had a few late assignments.

Something I do not like : They give deductions for late assignments and as I completely adore this technique for if you joined before September first but it kind of sucks when you’re new and you already have no change of getting full points.

Anyways, the assignments are pretty easy. They give anywhere between 4 to 5 actual questions and if you answer them, you have the option of doing extra credit work. What you do is that you launch the lesson where they give you the lesson, very similar to reading somebodies roleplaying work.

You search the lessons for the answers, they are pretty straightforward and the answer is very clearly stated. This actually my favorite part of this entire thing, you get to take interesting classes and get graded on it. #YeahIAmaNerd

As you go around the area, you can find a variety of people performing magic. For example, while I was buying my books, I stumbled across somebody having thrown fireworks around.

Another time, I logged in to find somebody had thrown a Dark Mark Pendant that made everything dark and had Voldemort related thing. The Dark Mark that was in the sky during Goblet of Fire, Bellatrix Lestrange, and even the words Mordesmorde (at least, I think that is what it said, I am not completely sure!)

This actually genuinely pretty cool.

This is an interesting format as you can earn money by posting a chapter (Galleons, of course!) based of the quality of your work which I thought was really cool.

I am currently working on getting a Story Quill and Story Parchment but as of this moment, I do not own two school textbooks so I really need to work on that before I go on and post chapters and stuff. However, reading the fan fiction is perfectly fine.

Another thing I do not like : For the fanfiction, you can not search just the fanfiction stuff. So if you are looking for a Drapple story, you have to search through every single fan fiction instead of typing it in which is a hassle. Drapple = Draco + Apple.

I am not a role player, I like this game essentially only for the classes and the fan fiction so I was really worried that I would actually have to role play but you don’t and perhaps I will get more into role playing later on in the game but as of this moment, it is not something that I plan on participating.

After you complete your seven years at Hogwarts, you can choose a career where you then take classes based off your career and earning your own ability based off the career.

Every August, you are given the opportunity to change your career (AND STILL KEEP THE ABILITY YOU EARNED!)

The jobs are also pretty interesting!

A Problem That I Ran Into

So I genuinely have no memory of this but apparently, I had made two prior accounts to this one and I received an owl that informed that I had to choose between THOSE TWO. I don’t even remember those so I know I couldn’t have done much (if anything with them!) so I had to struggle to try and keep the one I had but thankfully they allowed me to.

Even though there are a few things that I would probably tweak, I genuinely do enjoy the site and I can’t wait to see more of it.

Don’t forget to add me as your hogfriend! ShesWritingMore

Top Ten Authors

These are the top 10 writers from all around the world. This is completely coming from my opinion and is ranked accordingly. Number one being the best.

10. J.K. Rowling.

J.K. Rowling, known for her famous series Harry Potter, ranks number 10 on my list. Many people would argue that as she is “Queen” then she would be ranked higher but the only reason why she is on this list is actually for her ideas, not her material. Her works are magical the Muggle (Or No Mage, poor Americans) population. Her work captivated readers for her magical capability and her ideas for the story were amazing. But her work itself is disappointing to say the least. Harry’s “jealous endeavors” in the 5th book (Order of Phoenix) was called “the green monster” and that is just one example of her crappy writing.

9. Sharon M. Draper.

Sharon M. Draper, known for her work, Copper Sun, is actually amazing. Her work is admiring and interesting. You actually feel like you are living the life that you are seeing and it’s amazing. However her endings are rough, at best, and you find yourself wanting more information on it.

8. Ayn Rand.

Ayn Rand, known for her Objectionist views and amazing writing, leads her to land on this list of phenomenal writers. Her work, such as Anthem, causes you to become absorbed in the work and her unrealistic views of characters is admiring. However in her earlier work, such as Fountainhead, the words are awkward, stumbling as you attempt to finish the sentence stopping her from reaching a higher level of excellence on this list. This does not stop her from being one of my favorite Authors.

7. Frances Hodgson Burnett

Frances Hodgson Burnett had this amazing ability to create characters that we want our daughters to be. I mean, I would love for my daughter to be like little Sara Crewe. She has always done really well with characters and story plots, reminding me of Lewis Carroll in many ways however I feel as though her work was drawn out and that A Little Princess could have been like 4 chapters shorter. She is on this list for being able to creating amazing characters that we can still love today but just like Lewis Carroll, she had potential to do more and never did. While I would consider Lewis Carroll and Frances Hodgson Burnett to be equal, her drawn out feeling causes her to fall behind.

6. Lewis Carroll

Lewis Carroll, known for his work with Alice in Wonderland, is a writer who I believed had a lot of potential. His work was interesting as he continued to write, capturing the love of children and adults alike. Though there is a big reason why I didn’t rank him up higher. He had the ability to become phenomenal, the ability to change the way people looked at books and while he did amazing, he could have done so much better. The people that beat him out however created something so genuine and affected the world in so many ways that it was impossible to put him any higher.

5. Nicholas Sparks.

Nicholas Sparks, known for his cry-promise scenes and phenomenal writing, he has written books beloved by all such as The Notebook, The Last Song, The Choice, A Walk to Remember, and even Dear John. His work has caused readers of all ages to fall in love over and over that they don’t even mind that a box of tissues might as well be a requirement when it comes to his work. He has changed the world of romance as we know it and he did it all without dying first.

4. Bram Stoker.

Ah, Bram Stoker. He is known for being the start of the Vampire Revolution by writing the story of the famous Dracula. While he might have done amazing portraying a blood-sucking soul less creature, many have failed (Such as Stephanie Meyers, I mean, sparkling murderers, really?) He is ranked rather high for his structure in writing, professional sense that might be hard on new readers but old readers greatly appreciate the attention to detail. He is not my favorite writer but I did give him a high position for his ability to change the writing and reading world as we knew it.

3. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is well known for his Sherlock Holmes series. He created the story of the narcissistic know-it-all that we all love and know, Sherlock. He has captured the hearts of all with his portraying and attention to detail and we acknowledge his amazing work. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ranks high due to his amazing characters, his knack for getting people on their toes, and for creating a series that we all know and love by changing the world. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, thank you for creating my beloved, Sherlock Holmes.

2. Edgar Allan Poe.

Edgar Allan Poe was amazing, his attention to detail and his ability to show and not tell has caused him to be a subject in schools as well as a case study in writing itself. Edgar Allan Poe was both a poet and an author and his most well known book is probably The Tell Tale Heart. While his work was dark and interesting, nobody seemed capable of putting down his work and knowing Poe, that’s a complete possibility. He is ranked number two for his attention to detail, his profound way of writing, and for his shocking endings.

1. William Shakespeare.

Ah, here he is! William Shakespeare was practically expected to be on this list, I mean. He is William Shakespeare and he deserves to be on this list which is why he gets NUMBER ONE. Not only did he change the writing world, he was one of the first to do so as he was in the Renaissance Era. Not only did he change the world but his creativity has given us more than 100 common sayings and words. On average, you probably use one of the words he created at least three times a day. William Shakespeare is known for many things but his most famous plays was Romeo and Juliet. He is an author that all aspire to be and for good reason. His amazing performances of creating characters that we can’t help but love and causing us to cry our eyes out when someone we hate dies and I don’t even know how that works.

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child : Book Review

Book Title : Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

Author : J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany.

Date of Publication : July 31, 2016.

Rating (Out of Five Stars) : 3.

I liked the book, I didn’t love it but I liked it so why did I give it a 3?

Well for the most part, it was because of the Fan fiction feel of the entire thing. Every moment, I felt like I was reading an ordinary fan fiction and it really disappointed me though the idea was interesting.

I won’t talk about the writing for it was a script and I must admit, I don’t know much about script writing so I am just going to look at this from a reader’s standpoint.

The book was clearly from a young person’s point of view, he was ridiculous and assumptive and did everything to go against his father. Honestly, he really was everything like his father or perhaps that’s just J.K. Rowling’s writing skills showing through.

I never did really think she was a good writer though I love her work, I love it for the idea.

Honestly, I did expect worse but still. It really wasn’t that bad. She created more plot holes but that’s about it. I don’t feel like it was the end of the Harry Potter series and it disappoints me because of that. I feel like Harry’s life isn’t over so I should still be reading about.

I was hoping this book would actually give me closure but I didn’t so I can’t rate this book anything higher than a 3. It’s worth a 3.

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child is the eighth book in a coveted series that is loved by one and all. Any reader can read this series and find something about it that they love. Set many years into the future, you are met with the same scene that we last saw our beloved characters.

Albus is sorted into Slytherin and becomes fast friends with Scorpius Malfoy. Their friendship continues on for three years as they go through a series of bullying and outcasting until we reach the summer going into fourth year where Albus (Because it’s always the Potters!) hears a conversation between Amos Diggory, the father of Cedric Diggory, and requests Harry to go back in time to save Cedric but Harry denies this.

When Albus finds out about the rumor being true, he enlists Scorpius to help him go back in time to save Cedric which leads to them jumping off the Hogwarts Express and going to the retirement home where Amos Diggory and his niece, Delphi Diggory, resides.

This, of course, leads to go to the Ministry and stealing the time turner and going back in time to the first task.

Side Note : To be honest, I don’t know how to talk about this without telling you a lot of stuff!

When they come back, they notice that a lot has changed. Hermione has essentially become the new Snape, Hermione and Ron are not married, Ron is married to Padma Patil, and Albus is sorted into Gryffindor.

However his relationship with his father is still the same so clearly their problems run deeper than just that.

They ultimately decide to go back and this time finds themselves in the second task. One things leads to another and Scorpius finds himself alone in another alternative dimension where Harry Potter is dead, Cedric Diggory is a death eater, Umbridge is still a teacher, Voldemort is at large, but hey, at least Snape is alive? The funny thing is that it’s all because Cedric kills Neville in the Final Battle.

There is also Mudblood Death Camps, Torture Chambers, and so much more.

Like Neville is ten times more important than we originally thought.

So Scorpius finds Severus Snape and quickly explains the situation. At first Snape doesn’t believe him until he begins talking about Lily Evans. HE’S ALIVE AND WE GET TO SEE HIS REACTION.

This leads Snape to taking Scorpius to Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley (who are still not together) who are extremely wanted but no one really talks about why. BUT HEY AT LEAST SNAPE SMILED. AND YES, HE DID SMILE.

But anyways, so Dementors come and Hermione and Ron sacrifice themselves after they confess their love for each other. Apparently in every version, they still love each other so I must ask. HOW DO YOU PEOPLE SHIP DRAMIONE OR ANYTHING BESIDES ROMIONE!?

Then the saddest thing happens and Snape dies…

Finally Scorpius goes back in time and fixes everything.

Now I would like to ask you guys way too many questions! Essentially I am done telling you word for word what happens.

A : How the hell did Rudolphus get out of Azkaban?

B : Why did Theodore Nott go to Azkaban?

C : Are they purposely making Scorpius and Rose the new James and Lily?

D : Who was your favorite character? Mine was Scorpius.

E : How the heck does Delphi have white and blue hair if her parents are Voldy and Bella?

F : How is Molly still alive?

G : Why does no one mention Sirius?

H : Where is George?

I :  Why does no one ever talk to Neville?

J : How did Hermione become Minister? Was Draco right?

L : How did no one know about Delphi? I mean, surely Hogwarts records existed.

M : Fun Fact : Molly kills Bellatrix and says something about being a mother. How do you think she would have reacted having learned that Bellatrix was in fact a Mother?

N : Why is Hermione the next Snape after they change the first tournament?

O : Why is Harry and Ginny still together in all versions?

P : McGonagall is still badass. Not a question, just a statement.

Q : So we found out what Astoria was like. A lot of Fanfiction writers were wrong. What house was she in??

R : So we were all right about Harry losing his ability to speak Parseltongue after everything. So my question is, how does he gain it back???

S : They talked about how “magic has changed since I was in school?” IN WHAT WAY?

A Disappointed Potterhead,

Sabrina Ingram.
